Thailand Anti-Government Protests

In what is a familiar scene in recent Thai history, thousands of anti-government protestors have hit the streets during the past month, to protest the current government, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and show their support for the opposition Democratic Party and their sweeping plans for political reform in Thailand. Although disruptive, the protests have been mostly peaceful with only a few isolated outbreaks of violence.
